I just looked at the dates from the last two journals and realized I haven't updated in over a month. Hot damn! Laziness for teh win!

Yes, it is that time again. No, hell hasn't frozen over and pigs still can't fly. (Damn!) Anyways, time to update. For those that don't know, I am back in Hotlanta as I like to call it, or Atlanta to those outsiders. School is in full swing, just got done with my first week of school. And to answer the question that's still on everyone's mind.. school still sucks. As some of you already know, I just got a new ride, a 2003 honda accord coupe. And what better way to break it in then drive it 900 miles from New York to Atlanta? The day before I leave the big "Blackout of 2003" occured. Fun times driving at night with no traffic lights. It took me 20 hours.. yes, 20 HOURS, to get down there. If you do the math, that's an average of 45 mph. That's how horrible the traffic was the day after the blackout. Anyways, to get back on track, I'm having a grand ole time here in school while everyone else is having a horrible time still on summer vacation. School > No school is my philosophy. I've been playing games throughout this week, nothing to do in the first week of school except reading textbooks. I'm hooked on Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic for Xbox, which is my roommates. Anyone who's played the game knows its a great game. It's like a RPG with lightsabers. The cool thing is that you can become a Jedi or a Dark Sith depending on your actions in the game. Guess which side I'm aiming for. Hehehe. That's all I can think of at this time but if more news pops up, check here weekly for your daily dose of Danny. (In a non-homosexual kind of way.)
This is directed to that particular person -
Jin: I have dropped down to 3rd place in the fantasy baseball league. Damn you WildThings.
Justin: Quit that damn job of yours. That is all.
John: Sorry I didn't see you before I left for school, maybe during my next break.
Matt: You come down to Atlanta, not me to Albany. And it sucked that we just missed each other on the 15th or whatever day it was.

Everyone knows I'm lazy so going by that tradition I will lazily only be updating this site weekly. Besides, it's not like my life is so terribly exciting that I need to update it more often than that. So here's the scoop of what's been going on since the last update. One of my best friends Paul is leaving the country next week and I probably won't be seeing him until the winter since I leave for school soon. And then it's just down to me and Justin. And since Justin is now a working man, *gasp!*, I'll be mostly bored alone. I lead a crazy life eh?
So if anyone wants to help cure my boredom, gimme a call on my cell or better yet, get your butt down here and hang with me. Enough typing, more drinking. I might go to a bar or something fun...

Yes I am lazy. I am finally updating this so that the two people who actually read this will stop complaining. Many things have happened since the last journal entry. Not really. I celebrated two birthdays since then, my youngest sister's and the good ole US of A. On the 4th of July I just hung out with friends, drank a few beverages and chilled the entire day.
I haven't gotten a job yet.. but I haven't really tried to. I only have about 4 weeks remaining here in New York until I have to head back down to the dirrty south for school. Not sure if I want to find a job for only a month.
I saw Pirates of the Carribean yesterday with my sister, aunt and cousin. It was a good movie. I would recommend to everyone even though it was made by Walt Disney. It was a horror/comedy kind of flick but not really. It wasn't scary at all and not all comedy but it was fun to watch.
I'm going to get a car for this coming fall semester. Anyone have any suggestions? If your in the Long Island area, gimme a hollar on my cell. Peace.

Here is how my day went today. My mom wakes me up after I get about 6 hours of sleep. (Side note: I have to stop staying up so late.) This is when she tells me that we are going to New Jersey to my aunt's new place. So after taking a shower and getting ready, I'm good to go. Guess who has the job of driving? That's right, it's me. Thank God that there wasn't any traffic today which was a big surprise to me. But still, it took us about 2 hours to get there. We stayed there for a couple of hours until around 9pm. And wouldn't you know it, I'm driving once again. I drive for a hour or so but I'm just about to fall asleep at the wheel I'm so tired. Just before the Lincoln Tunnel my mom takes over the driving, which is good cause I was having problems keeping my eyes open.
I wanted to spend today searching for a summer job. That obviously didn't happen. Maybe tomorrow I'll get off my lazy butt and go find a job.
Oh and by the way, driving on the highways in New Jersey rocks, aside from the occasional smell. They get out of your way mostly and there are no cops in Jersey for some reason, thus allowing me to travel at average speeds of 80 mph.

I know this might come as a shock to everyone but I've decided to regularly update this site as much as possible. Impossible? Maybe, but hopefully my wandering mind will remember to post here when I can. So to anyone that actually reads this. Enjoy.
My life since the last update: School ended. I got a 3.75 (Out of 4.0) GPA for the fall semester, which is pretty darn good I think. Came back home in the beginning of May 2003. Met up with all my New York friends. Took a physics summer class at Nassau Community, which ended a few days ago. Got an A in the class so I will be getting 4 transfer credits for it which is good. Now it's almost July and most of my friends are gone. Most went back to their upstate colleges for summer classes. One went to Spain, and I won't see him until December most likely. So I'm just stuck here with Justin and Paul S. Going to go look for a job on Monday hopefully since I have nothing else to do for the rest of the summer. That's about it. Boring eh?

Yesterday I took a French test. And this might surprise you but I actually studied and for a long time too! The payoff? I think I did pretty good on the test. I'll find out tommorow if I'm right, hopefully I will be. But was my studying over for the time being? The answer is, of course, no. Little did you guys know but I had a test the very next day! No way you say! Way! And what did I do? Gosh darn it I studied, that's what I did! Don't believe me? I could care less if you did or didn't. Well, I took the test earlier today and guess what? I felt pretty good about it. Thought I did well. Damn I am the man! DAN IS THE MAN!

It has been a long time since my last post. More than a week has passed since y'all have heard from me last. And surprise, surprise! Nothing exciting has happened within that time period. However, tommorow and the next day can either go very good or very bad. I have a French test tommorow and then a Statistics test on Tuesday. Both can swing either way. I predict either an 'A' or a 'F'. So, everyone who actually reads this, wish me luck cause well, I'm really gonna need it. Well, got to get back to studying. Oh, and I'm going through a ghetto phase so if I start acting or talking wierd, it's all good. You know what I'm saying? Word up! Peace, I'm outta here. Later homedawgs.

Today is exactly 1 year from the tragedy of September 11th. Recollection: I was laying in bed, soundly asleep until the phone loudly rang. My roommate picked it up and then told me something that I shall never forget. 'A plane just hit the world trade center.' As first I didn't believe him, and said that he had to be joking. We quickly turned on the television and saw the news. The impossible happened... what he said was actually true. The twin towers had been hit by jumbo jets. And then when things couldn't have been worse, they started to fall. I felt the most horrible feeling inside when I saw this. I couldn't believe what had happened. The towers had both fallen, the pentagon had also been hit, and a plane crashed in the fields of Pennslyvania. Who could have done this? What kind of sick person would kill thousands of people and affect millions more. I tried frantically to call my family on my cell phone, but the network was busy. The first and only time I had experienced this. People like me wanted to know if their loved ones were safe. A while later, my mom called me. I was so glad to hear her voice and when she told me that everyone was fine, I sighed a huge sigh of relief. I didn't personally know anyone who died on that day but it had a big impact on me. Today I still felt sadness and anger. Sadness for those who died and were affected. Anger towards those who commited this ungodly act. First they hurt us in a way no one thought possible and then they hide in their caves, like a bunch of gutless cowards. You know how that saying goes, 'You can run but you can't hide.' We're gunning for you Osama, and don't worry, we'll find you and when we do, you shall get what you deserve.

I rode my bike to school today, for the first time. Everything went smooth. I got to class on time, which reminds me, I have class from 9:30am to 3:00pm, with a hour break somewhere inbetween. Feels like high school all over again. I got out of class at 2:00pm, a hour early! I went to the post office and received a huge package from my mom in New York. Now I faced a dilemma: Big package + bike = problem. I larbored through tough times trying to get home with the box in one hand and steadying the bike with the other. And don't forget I had to pedal uphill most of the way. Somehow I made it home. I like to call it 'skills'. Oh, I wasn't done there. After a short break I had to bike back to school to SAC, to play some basketball with my friends and such. Sigh, and here I am, just having biked my way back, avoiding cars and other pedestrians. And I still have French homework to do. Darn.

Today was again an uneventful day. I went to class today and then waited again at the student center because I was expecting a package from home. However, because of the laziness of the post office I won't be getting it until tommorow, even though they probably have the package waiting there to be processed. So, I basically wasted 2 hours of my life. I am now sitting here, watching an old-time World War II movie on turner south, don't know the name of it but it's pretty cool. I'm doing this cause I don't want to do my accounting homework or read the textbook for business law. Gotta go for now, the commercials almost over. Go America!
